Welcome back to the Love You Sober Series: How to Eliminate the 5 Biggest Obstacles to Continuous Sobriety. I am Allison Marie Conway and I will be your virtual coach, so to speak, guiding you through each episode.
Let’s dive in. What is an incorrect thought habit? It is a default way of thinking that does not support your new way of living in sobriety.
So, examples of incorrect thought habits might be:
Sobriety is miserable.
Sobriety is too hard, I can’t do it.
Sobriety means I am boring.
Living a sober life robs me of joy, connection, and fun.
I am an alcoholic and that means I’m defective.
If I could be a ‘normal’ drinker my life would be much better.
